Amazon Kindle is a revolutionary portable reader, that wirelessly downloads books, newspapers, magazines and blogs into a high-resolution electronic-paper display that looks and reads like real paper!

The days of small 2 inch screens, squinting to view the small print on your cell phone, or trying to shield your screen from the glaring sun may soon be over if Amazon has their way.  The Amazon Kindle has a 6" diagonal E-Ink® electronic paper display, with 600 x 800 pixel resolution at 167 ppi, and utilizes 4-level gray scale for the screen. The unit comes in at a lightweight 10oz so its easy to carry with you. Overall, the Kindle is about the size of a small paperback book.

Kindle is designed with the ability to wirelessly download books, blogs, magazines, and newspapers. The downloads are accomplished using the same 3G network as advanced cell phones. Most downloads can be completed in less than 1 minute.  The wireless capability is more advanced than WiFi because you won't need to locate a wireless hot spot like PC based wireless!

Amazon announced that Kindle customers in the U.S., can wirelessly shop the Kindle Store and download new content — all without a PC or a WiFi hot spot. Amazon pays for Kindle’s wireless connectivity so there are no monthly wireless bills and no service commitments for customers. The Kindle Store contains over 90,000 books that can be purchased and delivered wirelessly to Kindle, each in less than a minute. Customers can choose from hundreds of top newspapers, magazines and blogs and have their subscriptions auto-delivered wirelessly. All New York Times Best Sellers and New Releases are $9.99, unless marked otherwise.

Kindle lets you download and read the beginning of books for free. You can try it out and then buy and download with 1-Click, right from your Kindle to continue reading the remainder of the book. And, all newspaper subscriptions start with a risk-free two-week trial. Maybe you can show your support for a greener planet by getting your newspapers delivered to Kindle rather than in paper!  Kindle even offers top international newspapers from France, Germany, and Ireland.

You can watch a full Video Demonstration of Kindle at the Amazon web site. I think you will be impressed with the Ergonomic Design and wireless capabilities, along with it's ease of use. This could be the product of the future for book and newspaper lovers everywhere!
